nameXpdf
nameXpdf barcode recognition component reads barcodes from scaned documents. These barcodes values are used to name the PDF file, separate or merge documents and fed into existing systems or file/folder structure. The barcode recognition can also “filter out” un-wanted barcodes using advanced pattern matching syntax.
nameXpdf has been designed to be used with any type or brand of scanner. It will take image output (.jpg, .gif, .tif, ….) and automatically generate PDF file with and name the PDF file by the contents of a barcode.
Ideal purposes would be using it for Work Orders, Shipping Documents, Purchase Orders, Invoices, Check Stubs or any other document that could be searched for by a reference number (barcode) and needs to be batch processed.
Since nameXpdf creates PDF files with a new name, if the file already exists, nameXpdf will automatically append the new file to the old one.
nameXpdf searches each image (jpg, tif, …) output file placed in “notprocesed files” folder. When barcode is found on output image the file is converted to pdf and named with the barcode contents.
